Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Webcyter is provided by Tasklegend Pty Ltd (ABN 64 682 428 379). This policy covers personal information we handle when you visit our website, create an account, book an appointment on a business page we host, or contact us.
If you run a business on Webcyter, you decide what you collect from your customers. In that case you are the organisation responsible for that customer information, and we process it to provide the Service. This policy still explains how we handle that information as your provider.
2. Information we collect
We collect:
- Account details — name, email, password, business name, and profile information you add (such as address, phone, photos, hours, and services).
- Booking details — customer name, email, phone (if provided), selected service, time, and related notes submitted through a booking page.
- Billing details — plan, trial dates, and subscription status. Card payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers.
- Usage and technical data — IP address, browser type, device, pages viewed, and similar logs needed to run and secure the Service.
- Support messages — anything you send us by email or through the product.
We do not ask for sensitive information such as health records, payment card PANs, or government ID as part of a standard booking. Please do not put that kind of information into notes fields.
3. How we use it
We use personal information to:
- create and run your account and booking pages
- process bookings, send confirmations or reminders, and show calendars
- take payment, apply trials, and manage subscriptions
- provide support and send service emails (including a welcome email)
- keep the Service secure, prevent abuse, and meet legal duties
- improve the product using aggregated or de-identified information where we can
We do not sell personal information.
4. Who we share it with
We share information only as needed to operate the Service:
- Stripe — to collect and manage subscription payments.
- Email delivery providers — to send account, booking, and reminder emails.
- Optional integrations — such as ServiceM8, only if you connect them. Data then follows that product’s terms and privacy notice.
- Hosting and infrastructure — providers that store or run the application.
- Professional advisers or authorities — if the law requires it or to protect the Service.
Some of these providers may store or access information outside Australia. We use them because they are needed to provide the Service.
5. Cookies and similar technology
We use essential cookies and similar storage for login sessions, security (including CSRF protection), and remembering that you are signed in if you choose “Remember me”. The Service also loads fonts from Google Fonts, which may collect technical data according to Google’s policies.
We do not use advertising cookies or sell browsing data. You can block cookies in your browser, but then sign-in and some features may not work.
6. How long we keep it
We keep account and booking information while the account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards if we need it for billing, backups, dispute handling, or legal reasons. You can ask us to delete an account. We will then remove or de-identify personal information we no longer need, unless we must keep it.
7. Security
We use standard safeguards such as encrypted connections, hashed passwords, and access controls. No online service is completely secure. Please use a strong password and keep it private.
8. Your choices
You can access and update most account and business details in the dashboard. You can ask us to correct information, delete an account, or send a copy of personal information we hold about you.
If you are a customer who booked with a business on Webcyter, contact that business first. They control the booking record. We can help where we are able to.
If you are in Australia, you can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner if you are not satisfied with how we handle a privacy issue.
9. Children
Webcyter accounts are for adults running a business. We do not knowingly create owner accounts for children.
10. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. If a change is material, we will try to give reasonable notice.
11. Contact
Privacy questions can be sent to Tasklegend Pty Ltd (ABN 64 682 428 379) at hello@webcyter.com.
